J & S Youth Theatre Program is part of On Stage Vacaville, a 501c3 non-profit that strives to promote genuine human expression through the arts and create experiences for the community to be valued, represented, and entertained. On Stage Vacaville is a volunteer-run organization in the rural city of Vacaville in California’s agricultural central valley and has been setting the stage for the performing arts in Vacaville since 2001. On Stage Vacaville advances Vacaville’s cultural arts by engaging and cultivating a broad and diverse array of entertainment for all ages and interests, while supporting local performance artists, providing resources through fiscal sponsorship and AIR programs, supporting cultural education through diverse performing arts programming for all ages, and bringing the arts to underserved communities such as seniors, the disabled, and people experiencing financial insecurities. On Stage Vacaville began a focused effort in 2011 to sponsor and co-produce programs that would appeal to the broader community and underrepresented individuals, including disabled adults and youth, low income youth with an interest in music, school children, and non-typical theater-goers.
