JillyJazz Kids offers jazz dance classes that include both group classes and private instruction. Classes focus on classic contemporary jazz, with a warm up steeped in Luigi Jazz technique and style. Group classes are available from Beginning Basic through Advanced Intermediate levels, and are described as fun and challenging for dancers of all levels. The program is presented as exciting jazz classes on the westside of Los Angeles, with locations in Venice, Santa Monica, and West Los Angeles.

JillyJazz Kids is led by Jill Strauss. Jill Strauss has 25 years of experience teaching and performing in the USA and throughout North America. She trained in New York City and has taught for and performed with Luigi’s Jazz Centre. She performed on the New York stage for 15 years and toured the USA, and she brings her dance and acting experiences to each class to foster a professional performance environment. Her professional credits include Carousel, West Side Story, Radio City Music Hall, and Madison Square Garden. She founded JStrauss Jazz dance company in 1999 after arriving in Los Angeles and has been teaching and choreographing in Los Angeles for 20 years. She taught at Crossroads School in Santa Monica for 18 years and is currently on faculty at UCLA.
