California Karate Academy

California Karate Academy offers Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, including Traditional Korean Tang Soo Do Karate and grappling and ground fighting through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Students can train in both stand-up Tang Soo Do Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which is described as a grappling-based martial art and combat sport focusing on ground fighting. The program includes options such as Tiny Champions, Little Dragons, Karate Kids, Adult & Family Classes, Black Belt Club, and unlimited training in Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at both locations.

California Karate Academy offers programs for kids, teens, and adults with small class sizes and a family-friendly atmosphere. The Little Dragons program for ages 5 and 6 focuses on listening, coordination, and confidence while building focus, discipline, and basic self-defense. The Karate Kids program for ages 7–12 offers traditional training on the path to black belt, and Adult & Family Classes use the phrase, “A family that kicks together sticks together.” Instructors are described as experienced and are CPR/AED certified, and classes are described as safe and structured with character-first training and a focus on lifelong skills.

The mission of California Karate Academy is to provide high-quality martial arts training in a safe, positive, and structured environment, to help students improve fitness, learn self-defense, build confidence and discipline, and to support personal growth on and off the mats. The program offers a contact form to schedule a first class and ask questions about its martial arts programs. Two locations are described as serving families in Vista, Oceanside, San Marcos, and Carlsbad, and the 1-week Karate trial includes a uniform.
