De Luna Dance Academy offers dance, fitness, and creative movement classes, including Grown Up and Me creative movement classes and competitive level dance in a variety of styles. Students can take classes such as Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theater, Creative Movement, Tap, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Dance Conditioning, Improv, Hip Hop, Pom, acrobatic art, core fitness, yoga, salsa, and work with a personal trainer.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Thursday during late morning and late afternoon/evening, and Saturday mornings (Mon–Thur: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM and 4:00 PM–8:00 PM; Sat: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM)
De Luna Dance Academy is described as Whittier’s premier family-oriented dance academy, dedicated to the art of dance and fitness and serving Whittier and its surrounding cities. The academy emphasizes personal growth, creativity, and community, and states that it fosters a safe, fun, and family-oriented environment where young dancers can flourish. Its mission highlights a personable approach to customer service and a family environment where every student feels at home and where dance is celebrated, taught passionately, and shared with love.
The founder is described as having over 30 years of teaching experience. Instructors include Ms. Jalyn, who has been passionate about dance since age two, began dancing competitively at twelve, spent two years on a collegiate dance team, and has expertise in Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theater. Ms. Hannah studied Dance in Theatre Arts at California State University, Dominguez Hills, graduating in May 2021, and is proficient in Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Dance Conditioning, Improv, and Hip Hop. Ms. Belinda trained with professional ballerina Lila Zali, danced in New York, France, Japan, and Germany, is an expert in ballet and pointe, works for LASUD as a Reading and Math specialist, and heads the ballet program at Onstage Dance Center. Mr. Jonas began his performing arts training at a young age in his mother’s North Carolina dance studio, trained in all forms with a specialization in rhythm tap, graduated high school from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and earned a degree of fine arts from California Institute of the Arts. The leadership team also includes instructors Ms. Kaitlyn, Ms. Rena, and Ms. Hailey.
