Willits Kids Club

Willits Kids Club offers after-school programming for elementary students and middle school students. The elementary program includes snack, reading groups, homework time, free choice time, and activities such as art, crafts, ceramics, cooking, building projects, gardening, sports, games, and service projects. The middle school program includes snack, homework time, sports practice, board games, art, pool, outside play, and quiet computer time.

Programs

• Elementary K-5 — K-5 · Mon-Fri, after school; daily schedule includes snack, reading/homework time, and choice time; program ends at 6 pm · After-school program offering homework support, creative activities, recreation, and enrichment in a safe, supervised environment.
• Baechtel Grove Middle School — 6th-8th grade · Mon-Fri, after school; program runs until 6 PM every day that school is in session · After-school program offering homework help, academic support, leadership/service opportunities, and activities in a safe, supervised environment.

About the provider

Willits Kids Club was founded in 2000. It began as a small one-day-per-week after-school program and expanded over time, and the Willits Kids Club Youth Center was completed in 2009. The organization was founded by local parents, teachers, and community members, and it grew through fundraising, grant writing, and community support. Its mission is to provide a safe place for the children of Willits to play, learn, and grow.

Provides a safe, supportive, supervised environment. Middle school program includes snack, homework time, sports practice, board games, art/pool, outside play, and quiet computer time. Enrollment deposit of $30 non-refundable is mentioned for the Baechtel Grove program.
