YMCA Youth Basketball includes basketball leagues, basketball academies, and basketball clinics where kids take part in practice, team building, and skill growth. Program activities include skills, drills, team play, and scrimmage, with games played every Saturday. The YMCA Basketball League is powered by volunteer coaches who receive YMCA-led training, season onboarding, weekly practice plans, coaching support materials, and ongoing support from YMCA sports staff.

• Schedule: Leagues run for 8-week sessions with games played every Saturday; academies run for 4-week sessions; clinics run for 3 days.
The YMCA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA of Metro Denver is described as a place of belonging for all, providing community connection, family support, healthful movement, personal growth and life-long learning for all. No prior coaching experience is required for volunteer coaches, and volunteer coaching is described as a meaningful opportunity to impact youth development in the community. One parent shared, “Through YMCA Youth Sports, my daughter has been able to be active, make new friends and gain confidence.”
