About
The Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy is a two-year caddie-training program that focuses on caddying, weekly leadership meetings, community service, and golf. Student caddies in the Academy are required to attend weekly leadership meetings and complete a community service requirement by working closely with community partners who host golf programs at CommonGround Golf Course.

The Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy was founded in 2012 at CommonGround Golf Course by the Colorado Golf Association (CGA). The Academy’s mission is to create opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills and enhance character through a foundation built around caddying. Caddies start in the Academy upon completion of their 8th grade year, and after completing the program, they are placed into an existing caddie program in the Denver Metro Area. Caddie grants are provided to underprivileged children, and caddies are free at CommonGround during the summer.
Student caddies are required to fulfill a community service requirement by working with community partners who host golf programs at CommonGround Golf Course. The leadership team includes Ben Pennymon, PGA Director of Golf; Mitch Savage, Director of Agronomy, GCSAA; Macklin McKinstrie, Assistant Golf Professional; Jason Studtmann, Assistant Golf Professional; Cam Crabtree, Assistant Golf Professional; Nevaeh Martinez, Assistant Golf Professional; Richie Ardire, F&B Manager; and Inger Ballard, Event Manager. CommonGround is the home of the Colorado Golf Association (CGA) and its nationally recognized programs.
