Universal Preschool (UPK) is a preschool program for children ages 3 to 5. It runs Monday through Thursday with a half-day morning session from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., a half-day afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and a full-day option from 9:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no preschool on Fridays.

About the provider
The UPK application is part of the process for enrolling in APS Preschool. Submitting the application does not guarantee placement, and placement depends on available spots. Allow at least 2 weeks for the application to be processed by UPK and received by APS. Accept or decline placement on the UPK parent portal. After placement confirmation, required documents include the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, proof of address, and valid identification.

Do not complete registration through Centralized Admissions before receiving placement confirmation from the ECE Department.
