About the provider
Roaring Fork Conservancy has taught students about water since 1997 and says it has inspired people to explore, value, and protect the Roaring Fork Watershed since 1996. The organization serves residents and visitors throughout the Roaring Fork Valley through school and community-based Watershed Education programs and Watershed Science and Policy Projects. All programs are correlated to the Colorado Academic Standards and North American Association of Environmental Education Standards, and Roaring Fork Conservancy is a member of Winter Wildlands Alliance SnowSchool. Programs are available to school, youth and civic groups, and the organization works with many schools in the Roaring Fork Valley and provides educational programming prior to student river trips.
Programs incorporate inquiry learning, hands-on activities, and relevant place-based content for students in the Roaring Fork Valley. Schedule early because programs fill quickly.
