ABC Kids Climbing

ABC Kids Climbing focuses on climbing in a gym built specifically for youth athletes. The walls, mats, routes, and equipment are all tailored for young climbers, with routes set for different ages and sizes and boulders for a range of climbing levels. The gym includes dedicated space for athletes from 2 1/2 years old up to adults, and programs are centered around coach-led instruction and curated climbing experiences.

ABC Kids Climbing states its mission as “Empowering kids through the sport of climbing.” The program describes that it is here to empower kids through movement and climbing, and that this sport builds youth up, creating life long skills. It also states that it sparks creativity to solve challenging problems through coach, peer, and community support, and that it cultivates commitment and a sense of adventure.

ABC Kids Climbing is run by Robyn Erbesfield and Didier Raboutou, who also run the elite Team ABC Boulder team. Both Robyn Erbesfield and Didier Raboutou were world class climbers and competitors on the International Competition Circuit. ABC Kids Climbing is described as the world’s first climbing gym designed specifically for youth athletes and the world’s first youth oriented climbing gym.
