Outward Bound Youth & Young Adult Programs offers outdoor courses that focus on challenge in nature. The program follows the mission statement, “We spark lifelong growth through challenge—outside.” Programs create measurable change for participants.
• Ages: 12–18 years old
In 2024, Outward Bound Youth & Young Adult Programs served 30,620 students. Reported outcomes include 86% of students reporting increased self-confidence, 77% feeling more connected to their groups after the course, and 68% showing increased curiosity and interest in learning. One alum from Voyageur Outward Bound School shared that the experience fostered personal growth and resilience, and that the course challenged them physically and mentally while they learned teamwork.
