Elite Dance Academy has been fostering the growth of children and teens through dance in the Broomfield, Westminster, Superior and surrounding areas of Colorado since 2003, and Lisa has owned and operated the studios since 2003. In 2015, Lisa founded Camp Telaphiba, an overnight summer dance retreat for dancers ages 10–18 from all over the country and world. The stated mission is to provide a family environment that creates positive lifetime memories for dancers, their families and the staff.

Owner and founder Lisa Pevateaux has been dancing for twenty-six years and instructing students for eighteen years, has taught at dance studios throughout Colorado and surrounding states, choreographed for several high school and college pom pon and dance squads, was a Denver Nuggets Dance Team member for four years and director in her final season during a playoff year, and was a Denver Broncos cheerleader for three seasons, performing at Superbowl 32 in her final year. Lisa has judged Denver Nuggets Dance Team and Denver Broncos cheerleaders auditions, danced in the Las Vegas Revue “Pizzazz,” performed as a core dancer in the Denver Center Theater production of Star Fever, holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder, practiced public accounting for eight years as a CPA, and opened Elite in 2003. The leadership team includes Lisa Pevateaux (Owner/Founder & Visionary), Brandy Kapustensky (Customer Astonishment Manager, Events & Productions Manager), Sunny Reichert (Classroom Manager, Team Manager, CORE Team Leader, Hip Hop Crew Leader, Productions Creative Leader, Instructor), Megan Luker (Customer Astonishment Representative, Instructor), Kim Karis (Customer Astonishment Representative), Erin Rose (Instructor), Chelsea Canda (Instructor), and Ally Merrion (Instructor).

Brandy Kapustensky danced in Colorado since age three, grew up doing studio dance and poms, danced for the University of Colorado Boulder for two years, has been a Dream Project member for seven seasons, is a University of Colorado graduate with a degree in business administration and accounting, and has a physical education teaching license. Elite Dance Academy offers both competitive and recreational programs, including non-competitive performance teams and competitive dance teams. The program offers year-round programming for both recreational and competitive students, along with flexible options such as recreational classes, mini sessions, trial class opportunities, summer classes or camps, private lessons, studio rentals, and leadership opportunities. Elite Dance Academy offers trial class opportunities throughout the year and encourages new students to try any class before committing, and provides bonus workshops and activities to help students achieve their goals. Elite Dance Academy provides ongoing training for instructors and staff and has class dress codes, and notes that dancers are fine for the first class or two if families are not able to get the required attire right away.

Elite Dance Academy offers non-competitive teams where students ages 5 and older have extra opportunities to perform in the community with an Elite CREW team. Testimonials from Elite staff describe Brandy saying that Elite can fulfill the dreams of any dancer, teacher or other staff member and that she has met many women there she now calls life-long best friends. Additional testimonials from Elite staff highlight Meg’s calm and cool nature and well-rounded dance training, Kim’s “parent perspective” at the front desk, Erin’s knowledge in technique, pedagogy and body awareness, and Chelsea’s expertise in ballet and her kind and warm smile.
