About
Starz Theater Company offers full-scale musical productions during the school year and summer, along with a 3-day Young Performer Summit summer theater intensive. The program includes school-year and summer musical theater productions, an onstage Showcase, and a cumulative Musical Theater Program curriculum developed exclusively for Turning Pointe. Students can take dance, vocal, and acting classes in both group and solo lesson formats and present their work in an annual TPD recital or class musical showcase.

Starz Theater Company is the theater performance division of Turning Pointe School of Dance and is part of the Turning Pointe Musical Theater Program. It produces two full-scale musicals each year for performers ages 9–18, with immersive, high-level productions. The program is faith-based and aligns with the vision of Turning Pointe Dance, aiming to build a positive culture, uplifting community, and bright futures by developing well-rounded performers and young leaders who understand the power and purpose of the arts. It states that it is a Christian-based arts program that honors Christ in all it does, seeks to nurture students’ gifts and care for them as a whole person, and focuses on encouraging each individual in the unique path God has set before them. The program notes that through the arts it aims to share about the freedom of Christ’s love, tell the redemption story, stir hearts to the Creator, and engage others in worship. The program is designed to enrich the training of enrolled Turning Pointe Dance students, and performers not enrolled at Turning Pointe may still audition through community auditions, with casting opportunities offered based on experience and available roles.
