USA Archery Youth Archery Programs

USA Archery Youth Archery Programs are offered through USA Archery and include youth archery opportunities connected to its broader archery programs. These programs are part of an organization that also offers Junior Olympic Archery Development, Explore Archery, Collegiate Archery, Adult Archery, and coach certification programs. Youth participants are connected to a nationwide community through USA Archery membership, which provides access to clubs and events.

• Ages: 5–18 years old

USA Archery includes a Traditional Target Archery division with specific traditional bow divisions, including Traditional Recurve, Traditional Longbow, Modern Longbow, and Euro/Asiatic Bow. The Traditional Committee was formed in the mid-1990s to act as stewards of traditional target shooting and to honor earlier equipment and tournament conditions. Traditional Division rules were established in 1997 and are based on British Longbow Society rules, and the Euro/Asiatic bow division was added in 2016. The outdoor US National Traditional Target Archery Championships is a stand-alone event held in the summer and is a two-day shoot, and the indoor Traditional Championship was part of the USA Archery Indoor Nationals and was shot at regional venues around the country but was discontinued effective 2023.
