About
Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Colorado Summer Camp includes snack time, organized youth development programs, fun games, outdoor activities, rec room tournaments, guided arts and crafts, and gym programs. Camp days can feature character building, financial literacy, internet safety, bully prevention, mentoring, drug and alcohol prevention, leadership activities, volunteering, talent shows, karaoke, silent discos, learning magic tricks, making wands, and a magic show. The camp also offers activities such as learning about animals like cheetahs, elephants, and lions, crafts based on wild animals and the landscape of the savanna, a special showing of the movie Madagascar, special field trips to see animals at the fair, and stick horse relay races.

• Schedule: Summer Camp runs Monday–Friday, 7:30am–6pm, with sessions from June 1–August 7 in Craig and South Routt (closed the week of June 29) and June 8–August 7 in Steamboat Springs (closed the week of June 29).
• Price: $70/week with annual membership ($25/year)
Summer Camp programs include snack time, organized youth development programs, fun games, and outdoor activities in a safe and positive environment with trusted adults. Each week has a unique theme with new adventures, games, and activities. Scholarships are available for weekly camp fees, and transportation options include buses and walking children from school, with details listed on individual Club pages. The Clubs are open after school, during school days off, and during summer vacation.

Staff credentials include degrees in areas such as Recreational Therapy, Biology, Mathematics, Nonprofit Management, Photography, Outdoor Education and Leadership, Financial Planning and Counseling, and Family and Consumer Sciences – Child Studies.
Testimonials from long-time members and junior staff describe experiences with Friday night teen events, service projects through Keystone Club, and programs such as Positive Action. These testimonials mention themes such as gaining confidence, building relationships with staff and peers, learning leadership and communication skills, and returning to the Club as junior staff to support younger members. Several teens note that they joined the Club in elementary school and later took on roles such as Counselor in Training, Junior Staff, or program leaders.
