Garden Camps for Kids

Garden Camps for Kids is a week-long day camp for ages 6-12. The program includes exploration, games, activities, mindfulness, and plants to take home.

• Garden Camps for Kids — Ages 6-12 only · Week-long day camps; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · The Gardens offers camps for kids ages 6-12 (only) with exploration, games, activities, mindfulness and plants to take home.
• Farm Camps at Chatfield Farms — Ages 6-12 · Week-long camps; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · All Farm Camps take place at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms in Littleton. No aftercare is available at Chatfield Farms.
• Spring Break Camp at Chatfield Farms: Plant Detectives — Ages 6-12 · March 23-27; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Investigate plant and animal adaptations and plant an everlasting perennial garden to bring home.
• Chatfield Farms Summer Camp: Life on the Farm — Ages 6-12 · June 8-12 or July 6-10; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Learn about farm life past, present and future and plant a farm animal inspired garden to bring home.
• Chatfield Farms Summer Camp: Nocturnal Nature — Ages 6-12 · June 15-18; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · 4-day camp; no camp on Juneteenth. Discover what plants and animals do after sunset and plant a midnight garden to take home.
• Chatfield Farms Summer Camp: Nocturnal Nature — Ages 6-12 · July 13-17; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Discover what plants and animals do after sunset and plant a midnight garden to take home.
• Chatfield Farms Summer Camp: Art on the Farm — Ages 6-12 · June 22-26 or July 20-24; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Explore the intersection between art and nature and design a miniature dye garden to take home.
• Garden Camps at York Street — Ages 6-12 · Week-long day camps; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Each camp contains activities in art, science, gardening and outdoor exploration. No aftercare is available in 2026.
• Spring Break Camp at York Street: Trowels Around the World — Ages 6-12 · March 30 - April 3; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Learn about plants through the lens of other cultures and plant a mini garden to take home.
• York Street Summer Garden Camp: Enchanted Ecology — Ages 6-12 · June 8-12 or July 6-10; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Discover enchanted gardens, create flora-inspired art, go on adventures and plant a magical mini garden to take home.
• York Street Summer Garden Camp: Smarty Plants — Ages 6-12 · June 15-18; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · 4-day camp; no camp on Juneteenth. Explore plants through scientific investigation, art activities and garden exploration.
• York Street Summer Garden Camp: Smarty Plants — Ages 6-12 · July 13-17; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. · Explore plants through scientific investigation, art activities and garden exploration.

About the provider

Program fee: $350 per week for 5-day camps, $300 per week for 4-day camps. All weeks of camp are sold out. If any camp spaces open up for registration they will go back on sale. Cancellations before May 1 are subject to a 15 percent cancellation fee. Cancellations after May 1 are non-refundable. The scholarship application is now closed for 2026; all scholarship opportunities have been filled.
