Denver Tennis Park Youth Programs are part of an independent, nonprofit organization that is a 501(c)3 and is dedicated to advancing youth development through equitable access to tennis. The organization was formed in 2017 and has been serving all kids and the whole kid since 2018, with a mission to serve all kids and the whole kid. All coaches are required to have experience in and a deep commitment to working with kids, and the program follows a kid-first, holistic approach. It operates as a public-private partnership between the University of Denver, Denver Public Schools, and private philanthropy, and it hosts various Denver Public Schools high school team practices and matches. The organization states that it does not use a membership model because it views tennis as a resource, not a privilege, and it collaborates with youth and community-based organizations, prioritizing partnerships with community organizations that provide resources to the demographics it aims to work with while sharing its vision.
