About

Slammers Youth Program offers development and training for players through a Spring & Summer Program, Spring/Summer Teams, a Youth Fall League, and Youth Fall Select. The program includes training that starts in January, with games beginning in March and ending in July, and teams play in tournaments in-state and out-of-state.

• Ages: 7–14 years old
• Schedule: Spring & Summer Program training starts in January, with games from March through July

The goal of Slammers Youth Program is to provide each individual and each team with specific training based on age and on each player’s and team’s ability, with consistent teaching day after day, year after year, and coach after coach. All coaches and instructors for this program are hired and trained directly by Slammers staff, and the General Manager at Slammers South is Jeff Jenkins. Slammers Baseball is a nationally recognized name, and its recruiting program is included at no additional cost for players in the program. The program offers a comprehensive year-round option for development and training for players 7–14, with teams competing in-state in the Majors, AAA, and Open Divisions, at least one team at each age group from 8 to 14, and 35–36 teams every year with 36 teams in 2026. Teams plan on playing in 12 tournaments per year, with 1 to 3 of these being out-of-state tournaments depending on the level and age of the team. Approximately 95% of Slammers players in the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons committed to college programs, and every NCAA conference in the country has had or will have a Slammers representative as of the 2016 graduating class. A testimonial from Walt Weiss, former Rockies Manager, states that “Slammers is the premier baseball program in the state for a reason. My son has grown leaps and bounds as a pitcher. Mark, Clint, Billy and team know the game and encourage their players to strive for excellence every time they touch the field.”
