Cornerstone Riding Academy offers group classes, private classes, and clinics that include horse riding, groundwork, horsemanship skills, mommy & me classes, solo riding, and canter. The program also offers a Total Horse Makeover program, a Quick-Fix program, and private lessons that are custom tailored to individual needs and abilities. Baby Wranglers and Ranch Hands learn exclusively on highly trained mini horses, and lesson horses are provided that already know the skills and are described as safe, willing, confident horses.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: Classes meet once a week with four lessons per month, with options Monday–Saturday between 8am and 6pm; class length ranges from 30 minutes to one hour depending on the level.
• Price: Baby Wranglers: $200 per month; Ranch Hands: $250.00 per month; Buckaroos: $300 per month; Wranglers: $350 per month; Private Lessons: $400.00 per month.
Each class meets once a week at the same time and day, with some exceptions, and there are no deadlines for registration, so anyone can register at any time. Baby Wranglers and Ranch Hands classes are 30 minutes, Buckaroos classes are 45 minutes, Wranglers classes are one hour, and private lessons are one hour. Monthly round ups are included, where for the last 10 minutes of class parents are invited into the arena for progress reports from the instructor. Clinics are kept to 4–6 participants to allow one-on-one time with Head Trainer Mark Hernandez. Credit cards must be kept on file and tuition is charged on the first of the month.
Cornerstone Riding Academy states that its curriculum is proven to establish a strong foundation and allow students to succeed in any equine discipline in their future. Classes are structured to be age and skill appropriate, with small class sizes. Enrichment is included in lessons for younger students. With the exception of private lessons, all horses used in each class are American Horse Company Signature Horses. Horses for sale go through months of rigorous training and come with a solid foundation.
