Carbon Valley Camp includes activities such as swimming, field trips, playing on the equipment at the gymnastics center, arts and crafts, physical activities, and games. The camp takes place at a facility that includes an aquatics center, community rooms, a gymnasium, exercise studios, fitness equipment, a community center for active adults, and a gymnastics center. Carbon Valley Camp provides kids a place to unplug, make new friends, and have fun in a safe environment, and the safety of campers is the top priority.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:45 pm, in weekly sessions from June 1–July 31
• Price: $275 District, $412.50 Non-District; a non-refundable registration fee of $50 per week session is due at registration and goes toward the total fee

Registration for summer camp is limited to full-week participants only, and space is limited, so sign up early. The remaining balance may be paid anytime before May 14th; if no further payment is made before May 14th, then the remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file on May 14, 2026. The Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District (CVPRD) was established in 1983 and is a special district in the State of Colorado and a governmental entity. CVPRD serves roughly 45 square miles including the city of Dacono, the towns of Firestone and Frederick, and surrounding rural areas, and it collaborates with local businesses and organizations that share its commitment to sponsorship. CVPRD has teamed up with Snapology of Golden-Littleton to provide S.T.E.A.M. classes. The Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District strives to increase and enhance recreational opportunities by providing a variety of quality programs and activities for the residents of Frederick, Firestone, Dacono and surrounding communities. The Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District’s 2026–2031 Strategic Plan is a 5 year Strategic Plan adopted in November of 2025 to serve as the guiding light for District leadership.

The StarGuard ELITE (SGE) Lifeguard Training course equips participants with the skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies, and this certification is required to become a lifeguard at Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District. The leadership team for the district includes an executive director, deputy director, directors, managers, supervisors, coordinators, and finance staff such as Dean Rummel, Bryan Hostetler, Ally Flanagan, Katie Hyde, Kathy Lind, Kelly (KO) Olson, Scott Hickman, Sarah Spriggs, Taryn Hall, Anna Hoover, Suzi Shankweiler, Whitney Wilmes, Lynn Matthews, Kelly Gray, Mika Segura, Kassandra Guerra, Lisa Kitto, Avery Teeters, Roberta Friend, and Darren Duplechin.
