Colorado Nature School

Colorado Nature School offers Forest Preschool, Forest Kindergarten, and Homeschool Enrichment. Children learn exclusively outdoors, and classes are held daily in nature, year round if the temperature is above 15 degrees Fahrenheit. The Forest Preschool program places children in pods of four with a Guide, and Homeschool Enrichment includes nature-based learning experiences as children explore and engage with nature and themselves.

Colorado Nature School says its mission is to provide quality early learning experiences for children by connecting them with the natural world through exploration, inquiry, and investigation alongside nurturing Guides using the Forest School approach. The school also notes that it brings together like-minded families who want authentic learning experiences for their children outside, and that children build their friend-group and connect with other families.

Colorado Nature School requires that children be fully potty trained before enrollment. This means that children are able to recognize when they need to use the toilet, communicate that need, and manage their own toileting and hygiene with minimal assistance.
