About
Camp Telaphiba is a sleepaway summer dance camp where campers take daily dance classes and workshops in styles such as jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet and more. In addition to dance crew challenges, performances, and evening routines created with new camp friends or brought from home, campers also take part in hiking, zip-lining, archery, campfires, swimming, and tubing. The program also includes life skills workshops and leadership development workshops, with most activities included in camp tuition and some premium activities available to add on.

• Schedule: Retreat session option of 2 weeks
For more than 10 years, Camp Telaphiba has welcomed girls and boys ages 7–18 for a summer dance camp experience. The camp’s stated mission is to offer time connecting with friends and nature while dancing at a sleepaway summer dance camp that fosters a fun, safe and challenging environment for campers to make lifelong memories. The leadership team is led by Founder and Chief Dreamer, Lisa Pevateaux, and the program is staffed by experienced camp staff, highly trained staff, experienced teachers from across the country, and mentors described as excellent.
One parent from Colorado shared that their daughter, who had not danced at a studio since age six, felt welcomed, supported, and encouraged every day at Camp Telaphiba. A parent from Arizona described it as their son’s favorite summer activity and noted that he has formed some of his best friendships there. Another parent from Texas reported that their daughter attended the two-week Retreat session, has been going for three years, and is already counting down to a future summer. A parent from Utah stated that their daughter will be attending her fifth year, now dances with her high school team, and continues to return for a week of fun and dancing in an environment where counselors care about campers and their well-being.
