Denver Audubon Nature Preschool is an outdoor program for children ages 3 through 6. Children must be three years old by their first day of the program and fully toilet trained. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with two-day Tuesday/Thursday and three-day Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedules available from September through May.

About the provider
Denver Audubon says it has been rooted in a love of birds, wildlife, and the natural spaces that surround us since 1969. The mission of the Denver Audubon Nature Preschool is to nurture the whole child—intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically—through immersive, play-based learning in nature. Families are invited to participate in seasonal celebrations and special events, Family Sharing, volunteer as a field trip driver or chaperone, attend parent-guide conferences in the fall and spring, and connect through the preschool blog.
Children must be three years old by their first day of the program and fully toilet trained in order to attend. The 2026–2027 program is full for both Tuesday/Thursday and Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes. Openings may occur during the school year and are filled from a mid-year waitlist with no fee and no obligation. The waitlist applies only to 2026–2027; 2027–2028 applications are a separate process.
