Parker Art School is a family owned and operated studio that uses the Monart Method, teaching drawing using The Five Basic Elements of Shape, and offers new art classes added weekly for children and adults. Students use a variety of fine art media, and camps are offered during school breaks. The pottery studio is fully equipped with professional-grade wheels, kilns, and a wide selection of tools and glazes. All materials are included for stained glass classes, and all materials are included for adult clay hand-building classes, with every project fired and finished in a professional ceramic studio. Mosaic classes are open to teens and adults of all skill levels, terrarium and cloche-making classes use glass containers, live plants, moss, stones, and decorative elements, and acrylic canvas painting classes are offered for both kids and adults with small class sizes. Family events are typically hosted on weekends and vary in project, and mobile art classes are offered with all materials provided and no experience needed. All materials are provided for off-site classes and workshops.
The program is led by Mrs Sadi and Mr Kyle. Mrs Sadi got her first job working in a ceramic studio at 13 and by 19 owned her own art business specializing in watercolors, clay, ceramics, and photography; over the last 14 years she has run her studio together with her husband and worked internationally as well as locally as a professional artist and portrait/travel photographer. Kyle and Mrs Sadi have worked together for the last 13 years running a photography studio. Mr Kyle went to college for Graphic Design and has worked over the last decade as a professional wedding videographer and drone videographer. The stated mission of Parker Art School is that students learn that there are no mistakes in art and everyone can learn to draw. Parker Art School partners with local libraries, education centers, and schools to offer art experiences for all ages and is available for private events, book clubs, team-building sessions, and special gatherings.
