Tom and Jamie Volz are the owners and trainers of Parker Valley Farm, Inc., and they have been working with American Saddlebreds for over 20 years, teaching English Saddleseat and Western riding. The program is dedicated to the American Saddlebred and Morgan horse and to English Saddleseat riding, and it provides serious and intense training for seasoned riders interested in showing as well as those new to riding. Parker Valley Farm uses the slogan “Horses Raise Great Kids” and is described as a fun, safe, and family friendly environment. Tom moved to Colorado and started Parker Valley Farm in 2003, and in 2007 he and Jamie joined forces to continue their goal of having an elite show horse training facility. Their horse and rider teams have earned many successful ribbons on a regional and national level, including several World and National titles. The mission of Parker Valley Farm and School of Horsemanship states that it is important for horse lovers to learn that horsemanship includes riding as well as learning to care for horses, and that they strive to teach each individual to accomplish personal riding goals, whether that is competition or riding for enjoyment.
