La Gente Youth Sports Soccer offers soccer through recreational league games and practices organized by the coach. The program includes game soccer balls and other essential equipment furnished by La Gente and maintained by the coach, along with game t-shirts provided to participants.
• Ages: 3–11 years old
• Schedule: Six-week season with games on Saturdays
• Price: Cost is $60 and includes a game t-shirt
Registrations run through February 1, 2026, with late registration ending March 15, 2026, and games starting March 20, 2026. All coaches must register online and pass a background check. La Gente Youth Sports provides shirts, and the coach distributes them based on sizes requested during online registration, with no reorders for incorrect sizes. Certain color shorts may be required by the coach, tennis shoes or molded-sole cleats are the player’s responsibility, and players provide their own shin guards. Rings, watches, bracelets, necklaces, or other hard objects are prohibited, and medical identification bracelets or chains are allowed if taped down. All athletes are registered through Colorado Youth Soccer (CYS), and rules of play are outlined through CYS. This is a collaborative program and partnership with The Pueblo Rangers.
The program’s mission statement is “Giving kids a sporting chance at life!” La Gente Youth Sports notes Juan Madrid (1952–2003) as the founder of La Gente Youth Sports. Volunteer coaches are needed for this program.
