Vacation Bible Study
Trinity Lutheran Church, 732 Clark Street, Sterling, CO 80751
About
Vacation Bible Study includes Vacation Bible Study sessions along with seasonal choir practice. The choir connected with this program sings for Easter and Christmas. Vacation Bible Study registration takes place at the door each day, and it is for 4-year-olds through children who have completed second grade. Trinity Lutheran's Education Center includes summer activities that allow children to apply what they have and are learning in a way that reinforces their retention, with a summer program that includes a lot of gross motor and outside activities that teach children about their world.
• Ages: 4 years old through completed second grade
• Schedule: Vacation Bible Study runs June 8–12, 2026, from 9 am to noon, with choir practice starting after second service at about 12:05.
The program is part of a church that states a belief that the Bible is the true inerrant, inspired, infallible word of God and that it teaches God's Law and Gospel and testifies who Jesus is and the heavenly Father's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. The church describes belief in one eternal God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and states that salvation is a gift of God by grace through faith alone, not by works, and that baptism is a means of grace. The church also states that every believer is a disciple who is to grow in faith and is called to declare the good news of Jesus to families, neighbors, and the world, affirming belief in Christ alone, faith alone, scripture alone, and grace alone. The broader church community is involved in local missions such as Hispanic Ministry, Cooperating Ministry of Logan County, Community Christmas Dinner, Blessing Box, and Under the Umbrella; state missions including Denver Rescue Mission and Lutheran Hour Ministries; and world missions including Adult Mission Trip, Lutheran Church World Mission Program, International Mission Trips, Lutheran World Relief, India Transformed, Haiti Orphanage, The Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Africa Seminary, and Orphan Grain Train. Due to a pastoral vacancy, emails from the website contact link are not being checked, and the church office can be contacted instead at (970) 522-5942.
