RoughRiders Youth Baseball uses a training-based development system built specifically to teach young athletes the game with a focus on proper fundamentals, strong mechanics, and game intelligence. The program emphasizes hard work, discipline, and attention to detail in every practice and game situation and focuses on developing players who will reach their highest potential. Professional trainers work closely with individuals on skill, techniques, athleticism, and growth, and the program combines a professional training staff with volunteer coaches, with some teams entirely volunteer-run and others using a mix of volunteer coaches and professional training support. RoughRiders Baseball states that several of the most successful teams are coached entirely by volunteers and that players learn from professional instruction while gaining an appreciation of teamwork whilst performing as individuals.

The organization reports 32 State Championships, 243 NCAA commits, and 16 professional players. Its stated mission includes establishing a program so that effort and opportunity will produce the right outcome, and so that players learn extraordinary baseball while learning and maintaining professionalism, competitiveness, leadership, and excellent sportsmanship. RoughRiders Youth Baseball also highlights a “Ride Together” commitment, described as a collective commitment to contribute to the success of the RoughRiders/Blue Sport Stable family and the well-being of surrounding communities, and to be a classy and humble organization focused on shaping character, developing skills, and promoting the health of staff, athletes, families, and guests.
