About the provider
A Child’s Song was founded in 1999 and is led by Sandy Taylor, Founder & Executive Director. Its mission is to nurture an appreciation for music while providing programs and education about the developmental, healing, and social-emotional benefits of music for clients of all ages and abilities. The organization also provides music outreach programming across the Denver Metro Area and works with under-funded Title 1 schools in Adams County, Shiloh House facilities in five counties in Colorado, and one community-led arts alliance in Northglenn, Colorado.
Provides financial assistance; music outreach goal includes sustained instruction of 45 minutes to one hour per week, instruments for under-resourced youth to use at home, reducing the impact of trauma and increasing emotional healing through music exploration, and needs-based scholarships for students to pursue individual instruction at the ACS Studio.
