About
Diamond Club Baseball Camps offers private hitting, pitching, and fielding instruction, as well as offseason training programs and a Spring Training Program to get players ready for the season. The program runs on-site camps at an indoor facility and satellite camps throughout the Denver Metro area, including DC Under Armour Camps in June and July.
• Schedule: DC Camps Powered by Under Armour run 8:30am–12:30pm, and camps at Candelas, the Arvada YMCA, and in Highlands Ranch run 9:00am–12:00pm.
Diamond Club Baseball was established in 2009 with the goal of making the game of baseball a positive, fun, and rewarding experience for each player who participates. As an ownership group, they state that they want to provide kids in the metro area a baseball home where they can improve their skills, develop character, learn what it means to work for something they desire, and develop lasting relationships with teammates and coaches. They state that they believe it is their duty as coaches to serve as role models and mentors for young players.
The Camp Director for each camp is Jeff Doland, the Managing Partner of Diamond Club and an Associate Scout for the Colorado Rockies. Camp instructors include current and former NCAA Division I, II, III, and NJCAA players and coaches, and the staff is supplemented with elite area high school players. All instructors are vetted and chosen for their ability to communicate, teach, and relate to campers, and in almost all instances, instructors have played or coached in the Diamond Club system. The camp program is described by the organization as second to none in the state of Colorado, and the player-to-coach ratio for the camp as a whole is almost always 6:1, including the site director. Players are separated into divisions based on their age for drills and competitions.
Diamond Club Baseball also offers youth tournament teams, Spring/Summer scout teams, Colorado Rockies Fall Scout Teams, a High School Fall Select Program, and a Youth Fall League. During the week of camp, families receive emails with updates, reminders, and information. The program offers early enrollment discounts until May 1st, multiple-week discounts, and team or group discounts when space permits. If a camp is cancelled by Diamond Club Baseball for any reason, families receive a full refund, and credits issued for certain cancellations are valid for one year from the camp date and are transferable to family members or friends. Diamond Club’s partners have spent the majority of their lives living and working in the west metro area, and staff members serve as role models in the community.
Families are asked to label everything brought to camp with the child’s first initial and last name. Players should bring a bat, glove, helmet (with extras available), and catcher’s gear if they are a catcher; cleats for outside or athletic, training, or running shoes for inside; baseball pants are recommended but shorts are fine; a baseball cap; sunscreen for outside camps, with spray sunscreen recommended over lotion; and a water bottle to refill throughout the day, with water provided at all times. Players should arrive dressed in a T-shirt (regular cotton or performance wear) and/or their favorite baseball jersey, baseball pants preferred but shorts fine on hot days, cleats of choice, and a baseball cap, and it is recommended that they have a light jacket or sweatshirt packed in their equipment bag. Players are asked to pack a granola bar or another quick, nutritious snack for short breaks, and due to allergies, snacks should not contain peanuts or any other tree nuts. Players are encouraged to bring their own sunscreen, but sunscreen is available on-site if they forget or lose theirs.
