Arabian Horse Riding Academy Summer Camps

About
Arabian Horse Riding Academy Summer Camps are part of The Arabian Horse Riding Academy program, which focuses on youth programs that highlight the versatility and kindness of the Arabian horse and allow children to develop as equestrians at their own pace. The camps are connected to a larger effort that has welcomed 13 new Arabian horse-owning families since the program began in 2019, with over 27 pure and half Arabians now being cherished and creating memories with their families through the program. The program offers grants and work programs for families to fulfill their dreams of riding an Arabian horse.
The Arabian Horse Riding Academy Summer Camps operate under the Arabian Horse Promotional Fund, which is managed by a separate board, by-laws, and an independent bank account expressly to promote the Arabian horse. The Board of Directors consists of Becky Nash, President, Lisa Blackstone, Vice President, Mary Trowbridge, Secretary, and Peter Conway, Treasurer. The Arabian Horse Promotional Fund was established in 2018 and received its official non-profit status from the IRS on March 8, 2019. Since the Arabian Horse Riding Academy program began in 2019, they have welcomed 13 new Arabian horse-owning families, and over 27 pure and half Arabians are now part of those families through the program. The organization states that Arabians were bred to be a member of the family, which is described as making them especially suited to a children’s riding program. The Arabian Horse Promotional Fund is the winner of the 2021 Arabian Horse Assoc. Discovery Farm of the Year award.
The mission of the Arabian Horse Promotional Fund is to promote the love and loyalty of the Arabian horse at the grassroots level through activities, education, and enjoyment. The Fund supports programs and is focused on connecting the Arabian horse to people of all ages, classes and abilities, including hosting projects such as the Arabian Horses For Humanity Project, Experience Arabian Horses Magazine, The Arabian Horse Riding Academy, and The Keystone Arabian Experience Charity Event.
Supporters describe the organization as having a goal to introduce the Arabian horse to newcomers and as creating an avenue for outreach and growth for families and farms. One supporter notes that The Keystone Arabian Horse Experience Event offers an opportunity to share the Arabian horse with the world. A first grader describes the first horse they met, a Half-Arabian, as “golden & magical.” Another supporter describes the Keystone Arabian Horse Experience show as the best show they have attended, mentioning the fun, education, promotion, camaraderie among trainers, time to socialize, and the venue.
