Summer Day Camp: Camp Tepee & Gymnastics Day Camp includes activities such as swimming lessons, high and low ropes, archery, boating and fishing, sports, and crafts. The camp is part of YMCA Summer Day Camp and follows the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
• Schedule: Summer Program Session runs June 22 – August 23, 2026; Outdoor Center hours are Monday–Friday 4:30PM–8:00PM, Saturdays 9:00AM–6:00PM, and Sundays 9:00AM–4:00PM; registration opens January 2, 2026 at 10:00AM
Camp Tepee & Gymnastics Day Camp is part of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, which was founded in 1859. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA is a charitable, not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA serves 25 towns and cities in Greater Bridgeport, New Haven, and at YMCA Camp Hi-Rock in Mount Washington, Massachusetts, and works closely with the Board of Education. The YMCA offers financial assistance to those in need and participates in the State of Connecticut Care4Kids program. Camp 2025 members are guaranteed a spot if registered January 2–14. The Outdoor Center membership amenity is available to Central Connecticut Coast YMCA Family and Adult Memberships and includes three outdoor pools, basketball courts, paddleboats, a playground, and grounds used for hiking and picnics. The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is a hands-on leadership experience for rising 9th–10th graders who work alongside experienced counselors and have regular check-ins with the leadership team. The leadership team includes Kathleen Riley, Senior Program Director and Youth and Family Services Director.
