Since 1970, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties have played an integral role in the Sarasota County community. The organization has been a leader in youth development since 1970, providing enriching out-of-school time and summer programs to thousands of youth in Sarasota, Venice, North Port and Arcadia. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The vision is to provide a world-class Club experience that aims for every member to be on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle. The Club offers award-winning programs and has received recognition through the BGCA Safety Award, noted as “Safety in Action: Celebrating Our BGCA Safety Award Win.”
