Spring River Waldorf-Inspired Homeschool Programs offers flexible, Waldorf-inspired homeschool enrichment options serving families from parent–child through Grade 12, with programs grounded in a whole-child understanding of human development. The all-outdoor K–8 Grades Program is led by Waldorf-trained teachers with a supporting assistant, Tide Pools is guided by a WECAN-trained early childhood teacher, and Peaceful Steps is led by a Lead Forest School Teacher from Spring River. The program includes mixed-age classes in the 2-day homeschool enrichment program, age-grouped classes in the Forest School Nature Immersion and Enrichment Program, and a high school program with full- and part-time offerings and afternoon elective options. Spring River provides Integrated Student Support responsive to individual needs, maintains class sizes of no more than 18 students in the all-outdoor K–8 Grades Program, and includes dedicated planning time for all teachers.
The mission of Spring River Waldorf-Inspired Homeschool Programs is to encourage independent thought, nourish imagination and cultivate social responsibility. The program serves the growing homeschool community of Northeast Florida, participates in state-supported programs including the Step Up for Students Scholarship, and offers Direct Pay options across all programs. Parents remain the primary educators while drawing inspiration, structure, and community from Spring River’s programs, which include Parent & Child classes fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for children and caregivers. Spring River aligns tuition, salaries, and benefits with current financial realities, admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin, and does not discriminate in administration of its programs, and maintains a privacy policy stating no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
The High School program will enter its third year in 2026–27 and includes a rich outdoor ecological and land stewardship component. Spring River is a partner in homeschool journeys and a gathering place for learning across the lifespan, and it thanks its Corporate Partners/Sponsors and Fun Run Sponsors, including a decade of support from Shakti Life Kitchen for Spring River School and its fundraising events. One shared testimonial describes the program as a “Dream Come True!” and includes a quote from Rudolf Steiner about community and individual virtue.
