Discovery Point Twelve Oaks is a child care center with specialized classrooms, playgrounds, and materials designed specifically to nurture young minds. Early childhood teachers implement a research-based curriculum and a child-centered instructional approach for every age and stage of development. The proprietary Discovery Point Connections® Curriculum focuses on early language development and literacy, and each lesson is built on developmental learning standards for infancy through preschool. The program maintains low child-to-teacher ratios and follows strict health and safety guidelines and procedures. It offers State Funded PreK and center-specific options for private and state funded programs. Discovery Point offers summer and spring break camps, as well as before and after school programs. All Discovery Point franchise locations are independently owned and operated, and Discovery Point is a registered trademark of Discovery Point.

Discovery Point Twelve Oaks is owned and operated by Dr. Roger Clough and Mrs. Robin Clough. Their daughter McKenzie works at the center as Assistant Director and has 4 years of experience in early childhood education and graduated from the University of Tampa. Their son Owen works as a Camp Teacher assistant during summer. During his 11 years as a Superintendent of Schools in New York State, Dr. Clough helped implement several programs for younger-aged children, including broadening Pre-Kindergarten, introducing Junior Kindergarten, adding reading teachers and teaching assistants in all elementary schools within his district, establishing a STEM program in the elementary schools, and creating after-school and mentoring programs for young children. Robin Clough worked for the United States Customs Service and Homeland Security for 25 years in roles that included a wide variety of administrative and management duties essential to the daily operation of Homeland Security Investigations.

At Discovery Point, the stated goal is to redefine daycare for families and the children in their care. The program describes its caregivers as providing formative educational experiences that will shape the way young minds address the rest of their academic careers. Dr. Clough has stated that he is inspired by the notion that the measure of a civilization is how it treats its youngest members. He has also stated that children should experience a learning environment that will help them grow from an infant to an adult, and that he feels the curriculum programs created by Discovery Point will help nurture children at an early age and provide them with tools they need to succeed in the future. Dr. Clough has expressed that he and his wife are excited to be part of the Discovery Point family, to help grow the franchise, to help every child in their center, and to develop a strong connection with the families they serve.
