Discovery Point Twelve Oaks

Discovery Point Twelve Oaks offers programs that use a research-based curriculum and a child-centered instructional approach for every age and stage of development. The program uses the proprietary Discovery Point Connections® Curriculum, which focuses on early language development and literacy, with each lesson built on developmental learning standards for infancy through preschool. Children participate in programs in specialized classrooms and playgrounds with materials that are designed specifically to nurture young minds and foster a love of learning, with low child-to-teacher ratios.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–6:00 PM, with spring break camp from 3/16/2026–3/20/2026 and summer camp from 6/1/2026–8/6/2026

Discovery Point Twelve Oaks provides quality educational child care and daycare services for infants to 5-year-olds, as well as before and after school programs and seasonal camps for older children. Dedicated caregivers provide formative educational experiences that will shape the way young minds address the rest of their academic careers.

Discovery Point Twelve Oaks is owned and operated by Dr. Roger Clough and Mrs. Robin Clough. During his 11 years as a Superintendent of Schools in New York State, Dr. Clough helped implement several programs for younger-aged children, including broadening Pre-Kindergarten, introducing Junior Kindergarten, adding reading teachers and teaching assistants in all elementary schools in his district, establishing a STEM program in the elementary schools, and creating after-school and mentoring programs for young children. Robin Clough worked for the United States Customs Service and Homeland Security for 25 years, handling a wide variety of administrative and management duties for Homeland Security Investigations. McKenzie serves as Assistant Director, has 4 years of experience in early childhood education, and graduated from the University of Tampa. Owen works at the center as a camp teacher assistant during summer.

At Discovery Point, the stated goal is to redefine daycare for the families and children in their care. Discovery Point Twelve Oaks is part of the Discovery Point franchise and Discovery Point family. Dr. Clough has said, “I have always been inspired by the notion that the measure of a civilization is how it treats its youngest members,” and he believes the curriculum programs created by Discovery Point will help nurture children at an early age and provide them with tools they need to succeed in the future. He has also expressed that he and his wife are excited to be part of the Discovery Point family, to help grow the franchise, to help every child in the center, and to develop a strong connection with the families they serve.
