About the provider

Maranatha School of Dance & the Arts was founded in 1965 by Paula Himschoot. The studio says it exists to provide high-quality training in a Christ-centered environment that nurtures each student and allows them to thrive. It says it wants to impact the community through outreach, service, and sharing the love of Jesus.

Students and families are not required to share the studio's faith. The studio says it freely talks about its faith in the studio, prays before classes begin and when appropriate, seeks to be positive role models, chooses tasteful and modest costumes, uses carefully selected music, encourages students to use their art form to create meaningful experiences with others, and discusses monthly discipleship themes with students.
