About
Dogwood Acres Summer Camp and Youth Retreats offers activities such as hiking, swimming, canoeing, archery, slingshot, ax-throwing, basketball, beach-style volleyball, and tent camping. Campers also use a low-ropes Challenge Course on site. The program includes a complete Summer Camp program for children and youth in grades 2–12 during June and July, as well as youth and adult oriented retreats throughout the year.

Dogwood Acres Summer Camp and Youth Retreats is part of the outdoor ministry of the Presbytery of Florida and is developed and supported by the Presbytery of Florida. Its mission is to provide a retreat environment in which individuals and groups can grow in faith, enjoy wholesome recreation, and nurture Christian fellowship in a natural and unspoiled part of creation. The leadership team includes Christy Williams (Director), Eric Hearn (Program Director), James Vance (Volunteer Coordinator), and Robert Commerford (Maintenance & Grounds). The site also hosts group gatherings such as retreats, workshops, outdoor education, worship services, team-building, and other special events throughout the rest of the year, including Spiritfest, a weekend retreat for middle school students, and the Dogwood Youth Conference (DYC), a spring weekend retreat for middle and high school students.
