About
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida Camps (Camp Nocatee, Camp Welaka, Camp Telogia) offer camping experiences using facilities that include cabins, platform tents, activity and dining centers with commercial kitchens, infirmaries, and dedicated program spaces. Camp Nocatee and Camp Welaka each have a full-time camp ranger living on-site, and both camps provide facilities that can be reserved by troops and groups for Girl Scout camping. Once reopened, Camp Telogia will be used for daytime and evening activities as part of progressive outdoor program experiences.

Camp Nocatee has six campsite units that troops and service units may reserve, with camp sites 1–5 each offering five cabins that sleep eight, and Site 5 identified as ADA accessible. Camp Nocatee’s Site 6, called Tree Tops, has three cabins elevated on stilts, each sleeping eight individuals. Camp Nocatee’s commons area includes Founder’s Hall, an activity and dining center with a commercial kitchen that only a certified Food Manager may use, as well as an Infirmary, Director’s Cabin, Cook’s Cabin, Nature and Crafts Center, and Trading Post.
Camp Welaka provides facilities for daytime and troop or group camping for all Girl Scout grade levels, including a lodge that serves as an activity and dining center with a commercial kitchen that only a certified food manager may use. Camp Welaka includes two platform tent sites with eight tents each sleeping four, an additional platform tent site with four tents each sleeping four, and cabins at two sites, one with six cabins each sleeping four and another with eight cabins. Camp Welaka also has a Cook’s Cabin that sleeps eight individuals, a Unit House at each site for eating and activities, an ADA-accessible Bunk House, a Director’s Cabin, and an Infirmary.
Camp Telogia is a 9.5-acre Girl Scout camp that had been in operation since 1961, when Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida took ownership of the land through a gift from Broward County, until 2017. Previous plans to permanently abandon the Camp Telogia property were suspended in 2018, and in 2019 a three-phase restoration and revitalization plan was adopted. Camp Welaka, Camp Nocatee, and Camp Telogia together have served tens of thousands of Girl Scouts for more than 75 years, and volunteers have worked alongside the council to bring the Camp Telogia property back to life.
