About
Coral Gables Summer Camps offers a variety of activities, including art through hands-on activities and discovery where campers experiment with color, form, line, shape, and texture using materials such as bamboo brushes, molding compounds, and oil pastels. Camp options include indoor movement, outdoor play, basketball with on-the-court game experience and offensive and defensive strategies, volleyball, golf skill development and course skills, tennis, soccer, flag football, pickle ball, dodgeball, and indoor and outdoor games. Additional activities across the camps include physical conditioning skills, outdoor pool time, fitness activities, playground time, indoor playtime, arts and crafts, video games, table games, field trips, snack time, and story time, as well as Junior Lifeguard Summer Camp components such as water safety, CPR, First Aid management, water rescue skills, and swim instruction.
• Ages: 4–16 years old
• Schedule: Week-based sessions from June 9 to August 1, with most camps meeting Monday–Friday; Basketball Camp and Club Kids Summer Camp run as half-day programs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Junior Lifeguard Summer Camp runs Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Price: Club Kids Summer Camp weekly rate is $150 for members, $190 for residents, and $250 for non-residents; an additional fee of $12.50 is charged for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a late pick-up.
Families of children with disabilities, medical concerns, or other unique needs who may benefit from written, reasonable accommodations are encouraged to contact the City’s PLAY for All Program, whose team develops written Accommodation Plans so children can participate in an inclusive, accessible summer among peers. Registration for Coral Gables Summer Camps requires specific documents for resident rates and enrollment, including two state-issued proofs of Coral Gables residency (one with a valid photo ID), birth proof of the participant, and a report card or proof of school enrollment for grade-oriented camps, while age-oriented camps require a copy of a birth certificate or passport. Junior Lifeguard Summer Camp participants must bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes, and there is a maximum of 20 participants for each age group in this camp. Campers in My First Camp must be potty trained and able to dress themselves without staff assistance.
