Performer’s Edge Dance Center offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Pointe, Pre-School, Hip-Hop, Acrobatics, Dance with Me, Combo Classes, Tap, Lyrical, and Theatre Dance. The program teaches various styles of dance to students of all ages and skill levels, from beginner through advanced.

Performer’s Edge Dance Center was established in 2003 and describes itself as having more than 23 years of dance excellence. The studio director and owner is Amie Hollborn. The staff is described as very talented, knowledgeable and professional.

Performer’s Edge Dance Center states that it aims to pass the passion for the art of dance to each student regardless of age or skill level, to teach the technical aspects of the art form while encouraging students to find their own path within dance, and to give students a sense of self-achievement and discipline that will help them with life’s lessons.

One parent, Thais M, describes enrolling a 5-year-old daughter after visiting three studios and notes that the staff are very friendly, helpful and organized. Performer’s Edge Dance Center describes its environment as professional and family friendly. The current facility is a 10,000-square-foot space with five spacious dance rooms, each with sprung dance floors and professional audio equipment, including 9-foot mirrors and JBL audio systems. Room 1 is 1,200 square feet with solid maple plank flooring on a raised sprung subfloor, described as perfect for tap and great for all other styles. Rooms 2 and 3 are 800 square feet each with grey Marley flooring on a sprung dance subfloor, described as suitable for all styles of dance. Room 4 is 1,000 square feet with grey Marley flooring specifically designed for Ballet and Pointe. Room 5 is 2,000 square feet with grey Marley on a sprung dance subfloor, described as good for all styles except tap.

The program notes that it holds a recital at The R.P. Funding Center the weekend of June 6th and 7th with four shows labeled A, B, C, and D. Performer’s Edge Dance Center reports that it started in a 2,400-square-foot, two-room facility, grew within five years to a 5,000-square-foot facility with four dance rooms, and was involved from 2015–2018 in the design, planning, and construction of the current 10,000-square-foot facility that opened in March 2018.
