The mission of Drobots Company Summer Camps is to inspire students to reduce time in front of a computer screen and instead use drone technology in a setting that promotes collaborative project-based learning in a positive educational environment. The program describes itself as the #1 STEM summer programs for kids and teens, with the tagline “Where Technology Meets Fresh Air,” and emphasizes flexible experiences that shift students between indoor activities and the outdoors, along with a friendly competitive and gamified teaching and learning methodology. The environment is described as safe, positive, encouraging, and friendly, with safety stated as the #1 priority and “Safe. Fun. Educational.” and “Positivity, Safety, and Fun Included” as key phrases.

Staff are adult-led, with instructors who have years of experience working with kids and teens, and are described as well-trained, positively motivated, and selected through rigorous hiring standards that attract instructors from across the country. Drobots Company Summer Camps has been honored to be included in Forbes Magazine and The Wall Street Journal and is fully accredited by STEM.org.

Parent and professional testimonials describe the program as having strong staff and providing a terrific program for a 9-year-old girl with prior exposure to quadcopter technology, as shared by an MIT Professor of Aeronautics & Astronautics. Another parent, a teacher and mother of a 13-year-old boy, reports that her child had the time of his life and that much of the program took place outside. A testimonial from an entrepreneur and father of teens compares drones to “the new Lego Robotics” and notes that his teens are using what they learned at Drobots in the classroom. An engineer describes Drobots Drone Camp as the most exciting STEM program her children have been part of and highlights that the program includes time outside and not behind a screen all day.
