Starz Dance Galaxy

Starz Dance Galaxy offers Tiny Starz with basic Ballet and Tap skills and terminology for age 2. It also offers Pre-Starz 1 and Pre-Starz 2 with Ballet and Tap, with Jazz introduced toward the end of the season in Pre-Starz 2. For older children, the program includes Combo 1 and Combo 2 with Ballet and Jazz, Jr. Acro with core strength, flexibility, tumbling, and basic floor tricks, and Jr. Hip Hop. Age 8 and up classes include Acro 1 & 2, Ballet 1 & 2, Contemporary 1 & 2, Hip Hop 1 & 2, and Jazz 1.

Programs

• Tiny Starz — Age 2 · Designed to give youngest dancers a head start; covers basic Ballet and Tap skills and terminology.
• Pre-Starz 1 — Age 3 to 4 · Builds basic conditioning, flexibility and knowledge; focus on Ballet and Tap.
• Pre-Starz 2 — Age 4 · Next step in learning chain; focus on Ballet and Tap, with Jazz introduced toward the end of the season.
• Combo 1 — Age 5 to 7 · Focus on Ballet and Jazz technique; usually taken with an elective chosen from Jr. Acro, Jr. Tap or Jr. Hip Hop.
• Combo 2 — Age 6 to 7 · Focus on Ballet and Jazz; usually taken with an elective chosen from Jr. Acro, Jr. Tap or Jr. Hip Hop.
• Jr. Acro — Age 5 to 7 · Core strength, flexibility, tumbling and basic floor tricks.
• Jr. Hip Hop — Age 5 to 7 · Hip Hop class for children in this age range.
• Acro 1 & 2 — Age 8 and up · For those looking to develop more advanced tricks and perform the basics more effectively.
• Ballet 1 & 2 — Age 8 and up · An entire class focused on Ballet.
• Contemporary 1 & 2 — Age 8 and up · Contemporary dance class.
• Hip Hop 1 & 2 — Age 8 and up · Hip Hop class for older children.
• Jazz 1 — Age 8 and up · Jazz class for older children.

• General schedule: Recreational/non-competitive classes run for children ages 2 to 19. Competitive dance training is offered within the Starz Dance Company for ages 4-19.
• Facility hours: Monday through Thursday from 5pm-8pm; Saturday from 9am-1pm

About the provider

Starz Dance Galaxy is owned by Phil & Jeanine Thomas, with artistic direction by Kelly McGuire. Phil & Jeanine Thomas purchased the studio in the fall of 2013. The program is in its 14th year under their ownership and its 11th year under Kelly McGuire’s artistic direction. Starz Dance Company won multiple 1st Overall National Grand Championships, the Premier Cup, and 3 Victory Cups at the 2026 NEXSTAR ORLANDO 'Big Show' Battle Day.

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 season is open in the parent portal through 2/1/27. The office is closed on Fridays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Trial class fee is $15 and is applied to registration if you register within 2 weeks of your trial class date.
