YouthPride After School Program is a tutorial-based after school program that also offers a summer camp. The program includes monthly Parent Support Workshops.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: After-school hours Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Price: It offers free, tutorial-based after school and summer camp
YouthPride After School Program serves more than 150 unduplicated children in PK–8th grade each year. Centro Campesino will begin accepting applications for the YouthPride After School Program for the 2025–2026 academic year starting August 4, 2025. Volunteer Florida funds 20 half-time AmeriCorps members to mentor children in the program. Centro Campesino’s mission is to empower families and strengthen communities by providing affordable housing, homeownership support, economic, and educational opportunities. Centro Campesino’s commitment to building strong communities starts with children, and the organization is funded in part by The Children’s Trust, with additional funders including United Way Miami, Ocean Reef Community Foundation, and Volunteer Florida. The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County. Centro Campesino strengthens the economic fiber of the community by providing year-round after school and summer camp.
