Specialty Camps are city funded and not covered by grant funding. The Kids’ Day Off program is offered during Miami-Dade County Public School teacher planning days for children who are currently attending MDCPS in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Fall Mini Camp is offered for students ages 6–12 years old when MDCPS breaks for fall recess. Winter Break Camp is offered for students ages 6–12 years old in grades K–5th only when MDCPS breaks for winter recess. Spring Camp is available for families who have students ages 6–12 in grades K–5th only during spring break from school. Space is limited and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lunch and snacks are not provided, and parents need to send food items to camp unless notified otherwise. Camp shirts must be worn while in attendance. To register, parents or guardians need the child’s current report card with conduct and academic grades and student ID number, a completed Specialty Camp form submitted online, a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a current photo of the child, and proof of Hialeah residency such as an electric, phone, or water bill.
