Hobe Sound Nature Center Youth & Family Programs include activities such as Sunday Snake Brunch snake feeding presentations, Nature's Nook Story Time, Bubbles and Bites Fish Feeding, and Tales and Scales: Alligator Encounter. The program also offers live animal exhibits, hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities, exploration stations, hands-on explorations programs, field excursions, guided tours of local terrestrial and coastal habitats, and both on-site and off-site native wildlife presentations. Families can also take part in seasonal, guided turtle walks, Serenity Beach Yoga guided by Taylor Mazza, a junior anglers fishing clinic (Hook Kids on Fishing), a Creepy Creature Halloween event, an Earth Day celebration, summer camp programs, and Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations, along with lecture series featuring scientists and experts on topics such as sea turtle biology, astronomy, invasive species, and A Space Tour - Up-Close Views of Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, and more.

The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works in cooperation with the Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge to educate, inspire, and empower people of all ages to protect and conserve South Florida’s unique, critical habitats and wildlife. It hosts both on- and off-site educational programs for children of all ages and a variety of special events to honor the community and Hobe Sound’s unique natural heritage. The center partners with Keep Martin Beautiful for a Refuge Cleanup event, features lectures with scientists and experts including members of the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches, and provides information for contacting Busch Wildlife in Jupiter and Treasure Coast Wildlife Hospital in Palm City for injured wild animals. Resident “teaching” animals act as ambassadors for their wild counterparts, and National Parks and Federal Recreational Land's Pass, America the Beautiful, can be purchased at the Nature Center during business hours. The Hobe Sound Nature Center does not take in injured or orphaned wildlife.
