New Port Richey Judo is led by Joseph Cannizzo. Its mission is to establish a martial art school that enables students to broaden their mental horizons, enhance their physical fitness, and invigorate their spirits in a way that is both enjoyable and effective, with training rooted in morality, self development, and social responsibility, and with the ultimate goal of learning self defense. Through its teachings, the program states that students cultivate self-respect, self control, and self restraint while fostering personal growth and contributing to societal betterment. The ranking system follows the standards of knowledge and practical application set by Japan's Kodokan Judo School. The program states that it aims to empower anyone interested who lives in Pasco or Hernando County, and it serves New Port Richey, Tarpon Springs, Spring Hill, Hudson, Bayonet Pointe, Holiday, Odessa, Jasmine Estates, Trinity, and the greater Tampa Bay area.
