About
Hurlburt Field Youth Programs offers a wide range of activities, including Digital Game Design Camp, Survival Camp, Soccer Camp, Fitness Camp, and MVP 360 Flag Football. The Open Recreation Program includes instructional classes, monthly pre-teen dances, special activities, and free choice of game room and gym activities, with access to a pool table, game systems, computers for homework, wifi, and a 3-D printer. The program also offers a Nature Explore Outdoor Certified Classroom, STEAM center activities such as robotics, engineering, technology, and life sciences, as well as Teen Center activities that include music, an art studio, graphic designing, robotics, and a 3-D printer.

• Price: MVP 360 Flag Football (Aug 3 – Aug 7) — Only $30; FREE camps (except Flag Football); Registration is $120 per school year (prorated by month) for the Open Recreation Program; Registration is $120 per year (prorated by month) for the Teen Center; All Registrations expire July 31 of each year.
Youth Programs offers clubs and initiatives that focus on healthy living, safety awareness, and leadership skills, including Torch Club for preteens, SMART Girls, SMART Moves, Passport to Manhood, Keystone Club, and the Air Force Teen Council (AFTC). Participants can take part in service to Club and community projects, education projects, health and fitness projects, social recreation projects, and can volunteer at Youth Center and base events while developing service projects. The program includes The Arts programming such as art techniques classes, participation in the BGCA National Arts Competition, the ImageMakers National Photography Program, and 4-H programs in the arts.
Sports and recreation programming includes youth sports leagues and programs for ages 3–18 years old, Triple Play, the Michael Phelps IM Program, and classes such as piano, gymnastics, and martial arts. Homework assistance and high-yield learning activities are offered through the PowerHour Program, along with STEM and STEAM center activities. Teen-focused offerings include workplace readiness experience, college preparedness, scholarship assistance, career exploration, the Youth of the Year program, and Teen Center activities in a space with the latest game systems, smart TVs, computers, wifi, music area, art studio, graphic designing, robotics, and a 3-D printer.
Hurlburt Field Youth Sports is a member of the National Alliance of Youth Sports (NAYS), and all coaches are trained and certified members of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). Youth Programs is affiliated with Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H, and the Youth of the Year program is described as a premier scholarship and recognition program for teens ages 14–18. The mission statement of Hurlburt Youth Program states that participation in sports and fitness plays a vital role in the development of youth and that the program strives to offer quality diversified programs based on the needs and desires of the community, with a goal to provide youth with a learning environment that is positive, fun, and contributes to the well-being of the military family. The leadership team includes Youth of the Year Talayah Clowers, listed as the 2026 Local Winner.
