Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County – Bill & Barbara Whitman Club in Indiantown is part of the countywide Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County organization. The program follows the mission of enabling all young people, especially those who need the program most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County began in 1989. It was founded by Margaret “Peggy” Cole and Hays Clark with community support in Hobe Sound. Since then, the organization has grown to four Clubs in Hobe Sound, Port Salerno, Palm City, and Indiantown. Parents agree Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County is benefiting their children and preparing them for great futures.

The Bill & Barbara Whitman Club in Indiantown is led by Patricia Brown, Executive Director of the Bill & Barbara Whitman Club in Indiantown. Hays Clark, one of the founders, served on the National Board of Governors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and was honored with the Herbert Hoover Humanitarian Award, which is the highest tribute the Boys & Girls Club of America can bestow on a volunteer.
