The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast Camps & Educational Programs take place in a family-friendly museum that features bright, creative, hands-on exhibits. Exhibits reflect Florida’s unique character and include the Take Flight Exhibit, which is undergoing Phase One of its build with reopening of the top and bottom of the ship in the Explorer’s Gallery. The program also offers dynamic mobile outreach that delivers educational and experiential opportunities.

• Schedule: Open most weekdays and weekends, with extended Twilight Hours on Thursdays until 6:00 pm
The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast Camps & Educational Programs follow the museum’s schedule: Monday hours include 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for President’s Day, Tuesday through Friday hours generally run between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Saturday hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday hours are 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with hours subject to change. Twilight Hours are offered every Thursday, when the museum remains open until 6:00 pm.
The Children’s Museum opened in August 2008. Over 50,000 students have participated in the museum’s field trip and outreach programs. The mission of The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast Camps & Educational Programs is to offer children and families a place to explore and learn through hands-on activities, educational programs, and cultural experiences, in a safe, engaging space with enriching, hands-on exhibits and programs that spark discovery and creative thinking, foster curiosity and self-confidence, and provide state-of-the-art, environmentally conscious experiences for children, adolescents, and adults.
The program is led by an executive team that includes Executive Director Tammy Calabria, Operations Director John Sloan, Education Director (field trips and outreach) and Camp lead Kayla Halle, Education Manager (Field Trips and Outreach Programs) Denise Slovak, Birthday Parties lead Sharon Swenson, Donations lead Gina Palagonia, Events & Community Relations lead Christina McIntosh, Gift Shop Manager Colleen Holmes, and staff for Visitor Services & Memberships, Marketing, and Volunteers through Events & Community Relations. Governance includes an Executive Board with President Richard Baron, Vice President Andrea McAvoy, Secretary Allyson Ahal, Treasurer Jason Read, and CEO Tammy Calabria, along with a Board of Directors and an Honorary Board.
