Loxahatchee River Center Programs & Camps offers Field Trips, Family Programs, Virtual Field Trips, and River Center Aquatic Adventure Camp. The camp includes learning about Florida ecosystems, collecting marine critters, and outdoor activities such as snorkeling, fishing, and kayaking. The program also offers Storytime, Monthly Lecture Series, Naturalist Series, Boating Safely Classes, Homeschool Workshops, and Science with Sam.

- River Center Aquatic Adventure Camp — Children discover Florida ecosystems, collect marine critters, and enjoy outdoor fun like snorkeling, fishing, and kayaking.
- Storytime — ages 0-5 · Every Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. · Space is available for the first 25 children and their families, first come first serve. RSVP is not required. Program is free. Donations are always appreciated.
- Monthly Lecture Series — First Friday of every month (except January and July) · A light lunch is provided, please RSVP. Donations are appreciated.
- Naturalist Series — Fall and spring months · Hands-on outdoor excursions including kayak trips or nature walks in natural areas throughout the Loxahatchee River Watershed.
- Boating Safely Classes — 12 years and up
- Homeschool Workshops — Participants are required to individually pre-register for each program. Space is limited. These workshops are drop-off only.
- Science with Sam — ages 6-12 · On select Saturdays from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm · Participants are required to pre-register for each program. Space is limited. These workshops are drop-off only.

About the provider
The mission of the River Center is to foster a sense of environmental stewardship for the Loxahatchee River’s diverse watershed with quality education programs, exhibits and meaningful events. The River Center offers programs for school groups, camp field trips, and homeschool groups, and each group can have up to 50 students or campers per program. Each two-hour program includes a tour of the facility, a select program, and a touch tank demonstration.
